Each day of the pregnancy is a wonderful experience for all new mothers and even for veteran mothers. As mentioned earlier, each woman has different and unique experiences during this wonderful time. There are mothers that glow and feel very happy during this time, and then there are some moms that feel drab and may feel very emotional during their pregnancy period. Some women have symptoms like feeling nauseous, lightheaded, and may experience vomiting. These symptoms are categorized under what we call morning sickness. Although in some cases, women experience these symptoms during the middle of the day, or during night time, and for some unlucky ones - the whole day! But as we were discussing earlier, not all women experience morning sickness. For instance, during my first pregnancy, I had no symptoms of morning sickness whatsoever. I felt great, as if there was no major change happening in my body. All went well until I gave birth to my first daughter. However, with my second child, even before I realized I was pregnant, I was already experiencing symptoms of morning sickness. I was always dizzy and the slightest whiff of any scent sent my stomach turning. I was ready to vomit every time I was near anyone. There were smells that triggered the nausea and in some rare cases, a visual stimulant. In my case, it was a mobile phone. I always got dizzy whenever I used that mobile phone. I had to give it away in my first trimester to avoid upsetting my tummy. The triggers of morning sickness also differ from one woman to another. For some, it is the smell of garlic or any food, especially while being cooked.
So when does morning sickness start? Morning sickness usually starts in the first trimester of pregnancy. This is the first three months of having a baby grow in a mommy's tummy. But as we mentioned earlier, it is different for each mom. Some moms have morning sickness on the second trimester but feel perfectly normal in the first trimester. But for the sake of generalizing the phenomena of morning sickness, let's just say that it starts in the first three months of pregnancy for most women.
When does morning sickness peak? In my experience, morning sickness symptoms are the worst on the third month of pregnancy. And I think this is in general too. As the woman enters the second trimester of her pregnancy, the body has adjusted a bit to the changes that are occurring inside to accommodate the development of the baby.
Some women dread the experience of morning sickness and may get worried about this phenomenon. So if you want to know the answer to the question, "When does morning sickness end?" The answer , as already mentioned above, is at the start of the second semester. It gets better from then and the mom may lose all symptoms in the final trimester until she gives birth. Just one thing, would-be moms should not dread this experience of morning sickness. Remember that it is all worth it and it is all part of the wonderful experience of being a mom.
