Mobile phones have developed incredibly over the last 30 - 40 years, developing from rich business men only having mobile phones to everybody having mobile phones, ranging from young children to older people, and been used for various different means, with people using mobile phones as the main way to contact people, gone are the days when people only used home telephones to contact people.
Mobile phones have developed from phones that were large and heavy, but with technology increasing, mobile phones have become smaller due to the decrease in battery sizes and many of these mobile phones are able to fit comfortably into people's hands.
Mobile phones used to only be able to ring people, but the technology has developed so that mobile phones can now text messages to people, also many phones now have access to the internet where you can access your personal emails, mobile phones been able to take and record videos but also send these to other phones through blue tooth, with the newest phones consisting of MP3's, radio and GPS's which can direct you to places like restaurants and theatres. Also as there are over 15 different mobile phone companies in the United kingdom alone and each of these companies providing many different types of phones, the choice is endless for people looking for new phones.
Due to more and more people owning a mobile phone, the mobile phone companies have progressed from just having pay as you go phones, to mobile phones that can be given on a year or 18 month contract, these contracts vary in cost and benefits. With some contracts providing free calls and texts, and a higher cost then mobile phones that only provide a certain amount of calls and texts, these contracts can be tailored to the needs of the individual person.
With mobiles already being so developed, it is scary to think what the mobile phones of the future will consist of, and what features these phones will have, and how they will help people in the future.
